SAP Activate Methodology

SAP Activate Methodology

SAP introduced SAP Activate methodology for the complete and comprehensive implementation of S/4HANA soon after its launch. It is a unified methodology that allows the partner to successfully deploy S/4HANA on any platform (on premise, cloud or hybrid) while closely following SAP guidelines.

Now you can accelerate your SAP S/4HANA deployment using SAP Activate along with the freedom to innovate continuously. Combination of SAP Best Practices, guided configuration, and optimized agile methodology, SAP Activate is one of the quickest ways to simplify and streamline your enterprise operations with SAP S/4HANA.

Nowadays SAP customers expect to build their solutions on SAP’s best practices without losing the competitive advantage of their own expertise. And they want to do so with speed and swiftness, while meeting the challenges of the dynamic and fast-changing business environment we are in.

Wondering about the phases of methodology?
It is divided into four parts for your better understanding.

1 – Prepare:

The project is initiated and planned, including quality and risk plans. The system environment is set up, including best practices for ready-to-run processes.

2 – Explore:

The customer team explores and aligns the SAP solution capabilities with the project team. Together, they use fit/gap workshops to identify the configuration and extensions that best meet customer requirements.

3 – Realize:

The team configures and extends the system, based on prioritized requirements captured in the Explore phase. Configuration and build are done in short and iterative cycles, ensuring regular validation and feedback from the business. Structured testing and data migration activities ensure quality.

4 – Deploy:

Final preparations before cutover to production ensure that the system, users, and data are ready for transition for productive use. The transition to operations includes setting up and launching support, then handing off operations to the organization managing the environment.
